Why GrandGirls Is Important..
GrandGirls is more than a mentorship program to me—it is personal. I created GrandGirls because I understand firsthand what it means to have life change at a young age and have a grandmother step in to raise you.
After the passing of my mother, my grandmother became the woman who raised me, guided me, loved me, and helped shape the person I am today. As an adult, I understand even more deeply the sacrifices she made and the strength it took to step into that role.
There are so many girls growing up today without a parent in the home because of death, substance abuse, incarceration, or other difficult family circumstances. At the same time, there are grandmothers who have put their own plans aside and stepped back into parenting to make sure their granddaughters are loved, protected, and given every opportunity to succeed.
I created GrandGirls so that both generations have a place where they feel seen, supported, celebrated, and understood. This program is especially close to my heart because I don't just understand these girls' stories—I share one.

What is GrandGirls Mentorship
What We’ll Do in GrandGirls
GrandGirls is a 12-month mentorship experience designed to help girls heal, grow, build confidence, and strengthen the special bond they share with their grandmothers. Through twice-monthly workshops, activities, outings, and special events, GrandGirls will create a safe space for learning, sisterhood, and lasting memories.

Our year concludes with the signature GrandGirls Crowning Ceremony, where grandmothers will have the honor of crowning their granddaughters as we celebrate their strength, growth, resilience, and accomplishments.
